At Balm of Gilead (Calgary), the purpose of Deliverance Ministry is to bring spiritual victory and freedom to those people who are in bondage, tear down a stronghold, counsel individuals concerning life altering habits and attitudes influencing them as well as pray for deliverance for the hurts and the pain that was caused mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually so that they can achieve spiritual freedom and wholeness in Our Lord Jesus Christ
The Deliverance Ministry has played an important role in the growth of the Church. We conduct Deliverance Services and Conferences in many Churches in Canada, United States and Europe. We have seen thousands of people set free by the power of the Holy Spirit from mental, emotional, physical and spiritual oppression and bondage.
Prayer Ministry
Pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17 NKJV). Devote yourself to prayer, being watchful and thankful (Colossians 4:2 NKJV). The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much (James 5:16b NKJV).
Balm of Gilead (Calgary) is a Praying Church. Prayer is a life-style of the Church. Pray is one of the most important foundations of life of the Church and Individual Church Members. The purpose of Balm of Gilead Prayer Ministry is to enable Church Members to grow in area of Pray and Fasting as well as strengthen their intimacy and fellowship with the Holy Spirit. As well, prayer equips and encourages Church Members to pray continually and effectively so that it becomes a part of everything in their lives. Balm of Gilead Prayer Ministry follows the teachings of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
Balm of Gilead Prayer Ministry offers prayer and support to the Church Members, and Visitors. The Ministry is committed to Divine Power of Prayer and encourages others in their prayer life. Furthermore, the Ministry is available to individuals as a Prayer Partner. Pray builds and strengthens Church, individually and corporately.
Healing Ministry
Jahovah Rapha (For I am the Lord, your Healer. Exodus 15:26d RSV).Is there no balm in Gilead, Is there no physician there? Why then is there no recovery For the health of the daughter of my people? (Jeremiah 8:22 NKJV). When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick, 17 that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: “He Himself took our infirmities And bore our sicknesses (Matthew 8:16-17 NKJV). Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: 3 Who forgives all your iniquities Psalm 103:2-3 (NKJV). Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. Balm of Gliead Healing Ministry believe that God desires spiritual and physical healing for His children. It is the desire of Our Heavenly Father for everyone to be saved and come to knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4, NKJV). Jesus wants everyone to saved, healed and make whole. Jesus Christ healed every person who came to Him in faith, and we believe He is doing the same today. At Balm of Gilead (Calgary), the purpose of Healing Ministry is to pray for the sick. Spiritual Warfare Ministry
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Prophetic Ministry
By a prophet the Lord brought Israel out of Egypt, And by a prophet he was preserved. (Hosea 12:13 NKJV)

Balm of Gilead offers Prophetic Ministry for Church Members and Believers by teaching, equipping and activating their gift of prophecy as well as words of knowledge and discernment so that they can operate and flow in the prophetic and prophecy.
Seniors
14 They shall still bear fruit in old age; They shall be fresh and flourishing, 15 To declare that the Lord is upright; He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him (Psalm 92:14-15 NKJV)

Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you (Exodus 20:12 NKJV)
Balm of Gilead believes that Seniors are blessings from the Lord. We show love, grace, kindness, goodness and respect for our Seniors. Most importantly, the Church provides assistance and services to the Seniors in various ways. Furthermore, the Seniors give wisdom, advice and words of encouragement to the youth and younger generation as well as provides great assistance to the growth and development of the Church.
Young Adults
And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams (Joel 2:28 Acts 2:17, NKJV)
Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity (1 Timothy 4:12 NKJV)
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. (Joshua 1:9 NKJV)
The Young Adults Ministry of Balm of Gilead Calgary provides opportunities and resources for young adults so that they can discover their special spiritual talents and gifts that have been endowed upon them by the Holy Spirit in order to grow in the knowledge and power of God. This enables them to effectively engage in the work and the services of God under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Furthermore, the Young Adults provide help for the Seniors and Neighbors in the Communities.
Newcomers Ministry
Therefore love the stranger, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt (Deuteronomy 10:19 NKJV)
The stranger who dwells among you shall be to you as one born among you, and you shall love him as yourself; for you were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God (Leviticus 19:34 NKJV)

Balm of Gilead Church welcomes Newcomers, Immigrants and Refugees to Canada. Furthermore, the Church provides services and resources to Newcomers, Immigrants and Refugees including looking for employment, preparation for interviews, integration into society as well as counseling and prayer support.
